A Sweet Treat Made with Whole Ingredients:
These sweet treats are made with peanuts and almonds and sweetened with maple syrup. They are less refined than most treats you will purchase in the shops.
When you use whole ingredients you get the benefit of the nutrients contained in the whole food, rather than the stripped away refined version when using refined ingredients.
Almonds are a good source of calcium, vitamin E, copper and magnesium amongst other ingredients. Peanuts are also a good source of several vitamins and minerals. Both contain fibre and are good sources of protein.
Ingredients to Make Almond Peanut Butter Balls:
You only need the following ingredients to make these almond peanut butter balls
- Peanut butter – Smooth peanut butter will result in a smoother overall texture but crunchy peanut butter will also work. I like to use a peanut butter with no palm oil or other oils such as this peanut butter from Pip & Nut.
- Almond flour – if you don’t have almond flour you can also grind some whole almonds into a flour texture
- Maple syrup – another liquid sweetener would also work too such as date syrup or agave syrup
How to Make Almond Peanut Butter Balls
This is the really easy part. To make these almond peanut butter balls, you just need to add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix everything together until everything is well mixed.

Once all of the ingredients are mixed together, you then take some of the mixture in your hands, and roll into little balls. Repeat this process until all of the mixture is used up.
You can eat these straight away or leave in the fridge for a few days.
